Research

I am music scholar working in the field of empirical musicology, music psychology and music and science. My topics of interest are music and emotions, what makes us experience difference emotions related to music, and how we perceive music, especially how we parse together the central elements in perception such as melody, timbre, rhythm, metre and dissonance. I sometimes model these processes with computational models. I also advocate open science practices and have taken an interest to how what degree music psychology is transparent.
