Metascience of Music Psychology

I have advocated transparency in scholarship since the early 2000s, including sharing computer code, stimulus sets, and behavioural data. Since 2011, the replicability crisis has affected psychology—especially social psychology—and music psychology is also implicated. Around 2014, I began consistently uploading stimuli, data, and analysis scripts to various repositories (initially to Harvard dataverse, UK DataReshare, then to OSF and GitHub).

In recent years, I have taken stock of several properties of the discipline, including challenges related to open data, the level of transparency in music psychology, and the extent to which the field is WEIRD. You can read more about these themes on my blog:
